Q: Why does Tilelander flash briefly after loosing a life?
A: After loosing a life, Tielander begins invulnerable for about 2 seconds. This is important to avoid serial-dying in tight spots. This might have the side effect of being useful as, during that short period, Tilelander can hurt enemies and close tile areas, which might be a little help on complicated situations.
Q: How can I change the audio volume?
A: You can change the audio in Mobile versions of Tilelander (for Windows Mobile and Symbian devices), when playing the game by pressing any of the keys next to the cursors (also known as softkeys or smartkeys): a quick menu will appear with options to set the overall audio volume and the music volume. On UIQ phones, press the Back key or click the jog wheel.
The Windows version includes a [+] button on the top-right corner allowing you to do the same thing.
Q: How can I exit or minimize the game?
A: In Mobile versions of Tilelander (Windows Mobile and Symbian devices), when playing the game simply press any of the keys next to the cursors (also known as softkeys or smartkeys): a quick menu will appear with options to exit, minimize, set sound volume or abandon the current game. On UIQ phones, press the Back key or click the jog wheel.
The Windows version includes buttons on the top-right corner allowing you to do directly minimize or exit the game.
Q: It would be so great if I had some extra lives...
A: Across the levels you'll find the hearth-shaped extra life items, which will provide you with more lives. If you're finding the game difficult you can try selecting a lower difficulty when the game starts.
Have you noticed, however,
those shadows flying over the main menu? Maybe if a certain number of those shadows could be hit (with keys, stylus or joystick) something magical would happen?... Some sort of Trrrlimmmm...
Beware that this may spoil the game's enjoyment, though.
Q: Installation Error [Windows Smartphone only]
A: Sensible Sudoku won't be able to install if your Windows Mobile Smartphone 2003/5.0 device is application-locked. This setting is configured by some mobile operators in order for the device to only accept certain signed applications. Try contacting your operator as it might be possible (in some devices it's a simple operation) to unlock your phone and have access to a larger variety of software.
